Morocco is located at the tip of the Continent of Africa. It is 14 km away
from Spain, across the Strait of Gibraltar. Morocco has about 1.2 times the area
of Japan. Some mountains are above 4,000 m, the magnificent fertile coast runs
along the Atlantic and the Mediterranean sea. There are also a desert and oases.
Therefore Morocco has various types of land which are not easy to express with one
word. Eight areas are listed by UNESCO as world heritage sites in Morocco. There
are many places you should visit such as the Rome ruins, the old towns from
the Islamic era 1,000 years ago, and Kasbahs which are walled citadels and towns.
There are also seaside cities dating from the 15th - 16th centuries with
an atmosphere of southern Spain or Portugal.
The SAHARA desert is spread
out across south eastern
Morocco. It takes more than one day by car to travel from Mohamed V
International Airport in Casablanca to the major town of SAHARA. BUT the pace of
life here is a world away from life in your city. Please come to the SAHARA
desert.
