Moroccan Fashion

There are variety of clothes for women and men with combination of many kinds of fabric, color and shape. They are different among areas. Diellaba and Gandora are most popular garments. Diellaba is a wide robe with hood. It’s length is too long to trail. Diellabas for summer is made by cotton and the those for winter by wool. Hood is very convenient, because it makes shade for sun in summer. It protects wind not to get chilly in winter and sand flown to face on windy days in the desert area. The hood is used to carry things like bag. Men wear a caftan made by silk or cotton under the diellaba. Caftan is a long-sleeved dress without collar.. It has a lot of embroidery buttons in the front. Putting turban in the urban area and razz in the rural area on their head and belga (or babouch) on their feet are characteristic for Moroccan traditional men. Female diellaba is slimmer and decorated more. Women wear a long shirt and wide pants which is called Qmis. Gandora is short-sleeved robe without hood. Its collar, hem of sleeve, pocket and slit. are hand-embroidered. Caftan is famous dress for a female cloth. It is worn in celebration and special scene. It is elaborate, flowery and elegant the other hand. It is a dress which makes their feminine prominent very much. The gold embroidery and decoration on the hem are gorgeous. It’s size are adjusted by the belt embroidered beautiful.
